C-West sleek headlight kit install

I bought a kit without the fog lights. I purchased the fog lights separately. I'm guessing the original kit that came with the light must have had a different mounting bracket for the small fog light. It looks light I'm gonna have to cut the back of the mount off to make it sit back far enough in the carbon fiber cover. Anyone else run into this???? I could just screw the light down, but it would sit almost even with the larger light. I have searched like a crazy person for pics of the fog light base on the original kit with no success. Any input is greatly appreciated.
