A/C Pressure Switch Question
I have been working on my A/C system. Here is the run down:
Had a dryer dump the beeds throughout the system so the lines were blown out and cleaned, evaporator, condensor, compressor were cleaned also. New dryer and expansion valve were installed. Charged the system with 134a back in February. A/C work perfect until 2 weeks ago.
Things I have done:
PFC showing A/C on
Thermoswitch (haven't checked)
Relay has power
Pressure switch doesn't engage clutch (I can jumper the pressure switch harness and the compressor works and blows cold)
I had the system pressure checked. (They pulled .82 lbs out and put 1.18 or 19oz back in)
I assume that the a/c pressure switch under the batter tray is bad.
Would appreciate your input and where to purchase one.
Thanks.

Yeah, I had it done at the automotive shop. We used the big electronic machine. I don't remember the numbers but the AC tech said it was operating at normal levels (we jumped it to get the ac running).
If you jump the A/C pressure switch and the compressor turned on then you have solved your issue...
I had the same symptom on a friends FD and replacing the switch took care of it..
