No it's not Turbo'd
Lubricant is typically included with Coolant Gas / Refridgerent (Freon or whatever), when you recharge a system. So Getting a shop to check, and replace your Refrigerant, and replacing it would add lubricant to your system.

If you're replacing a compressor, you fill it with oil BEFORE it is installed....here's how...drain the oil out of the old compressor, measure how much comes out. Put the same amount, plus 1/2 oz into the new compressor via the low side port, while slowly rotating it by hand. If it won't all go in, then add the remainder to the high pressure line on the car.
If you have too much oil in the system, then it won't cool properly. If you have too little oil then you'll trash your compressor, causing it to spew little particles of compressor through the system. Little particles of compressor in the system will require you to flush all the lines, and replace the condenser, dryer and expansion valve.

The reason too much oil is a bad thing is because there will a relatively thick film of oil all over the inside of the system which will impede heat transfer between the refrigerant, evaporator, and condenser.
