My a/c compressor pulley is stuck. I started looking around for a new compressor, and was told that it is probably just the idler bearing on the pulley. The a/c system was not working at the time...low freon.

Mazda told me they sell the pulley, bearing, coil and arbor as a unit.

Any comments?

 

I have removed the pulley with the compressor in the car .Just swap it out . How much is a new unit ? I have used ones as do many other people . Get yours out and see if the problem is just rust . Clean the rust and go for a ride .
