here' smy dilema. i get in the car afterwork. turn it on let it warm up. turn a/c on. air cools down pretty quickly in car, then bam compressor kicks off. wont work again. next morning i turn it on. a/c on compressor kicks on/off all the way to work. next time i start it. it'll work perfect and be really cold. it does 1 of the 3 above whenever it wants. but lately more of kicking on and about a min later kicks off and never comes back. i did over charge it ONCE. but i fixed it immediately. it's a 93. car converted to 134a, vace for 15 min to full -30. held perfectly for 20 min and recharge to the book. any ideas? thansk guys!

The AC pressure switch could be faulty and indicating that pressure is too low or high, which will cause the compressor to turn off. (Are you sure that you are not under or overcharging? What are the high side and low side readings? Are there bubbles in the sight glass?)

Could also be a faulty AC thermoswitch - which will also cause the compressor to cycle off.

Jump each of them to determine if they are the culprit. The FSM has detailed procedures for diagnosing AC problems.
