bypassing fuel pump relay????

Wich pins do you jump together when you take out the relay??

what are you trying to do? after the relay under the brake booster there is no relay. when hooking up a seperate fuel pump on something like, say a haltech, if you wanted to use the stock harness, from this point on, you would run you signal. if memory serves, its a white with red tracer at this point.

Yes, you can make a jumper and replace the relay with the jumper wire.. That's how I have mine hooked up. The relay's in the box at the very front of the car. If I remember correctly it's a standard Bosch type relay and so you'd jumper terminal 30 to 87. Pull the relay and look underneath at the terminals.. they should be labeled something like this:



I can double check when I get home tonight though.

Okay, I lied. My recollection was wrong.. it's not a standard bosch relay.

Anyway, here's the pic. Jump it like this and it'll short out the resistor.

I did mine a little differently using a standard relay. (I have since undone this btw). I have relocated my battery to the drivers side bin so this is what I did.


I found the white/red stripe wire keith is talking about in the harness that runs between the bins and drivers side rear speaker (non-bose). I snipped it apart and then extended the powered side to the relay as the line that triggers the relay (sorry I forget what it is called in the documentation). Then I pulled power for the relay from battery and grounded on a ground I have back in that area. The I took the relay "power out" and connected back to the white/red stripe line which goes back to the tank. No changes made anywhere else and it was really easy to undo after I decided to go back to stock setup.

Did I say that clearly enough?
