Smile Buying my 1st RX7, need some help!?

Hello all. I am new to the Forum and would like to say hello to all. I need a little help from you guys, the experts. I am looking at a 94 twin turbo and i need to know what sort of things to look for. The car has 45k miles. The paint is not great but every single piece under the hood and on the car is OEM. The current owner says that occassionally the car hesitates to boost, then out of nowhere it will boost. He said it sounded like a bad turbo but I think it sounds more like a stuck wastegate. I need to drive the car to know for sure though of course. The car blows no smoke and idles fine. The tranny feel smooth and the rear end has no play, wining, or bangs. Anything I should pay close attention to. Little background on myself, I am coming from the Honda camp( I know, I know) better late than never I guess. Ive wisened up now and am looking into buying some real performance. Any help would be great, thanks all.

John

Yeah, get the VIN and call Mazda @ 1 800 222 5500. Speak to a customer rep and ask them to give you the history. Ask about recalls, which have been done and which need to be performed. Make sure you ask whether or not it is salvaged. Seriously.
