Buying an FD - need to fix cosmetics

I've found an FD that I'm interested in. It's pretty sound, mechanically, but needs some TLC. The car has a broken passenger handle, torn driver's bolster, and the driver's headlight cover actually flew off. I'll need to repaint the hood, but what would a R1 driver's seat cover, passenger door handle and a headlight cover cost me?

I can't find R1 seat covers as separate items available from Mazda, but the whole seat is $1000. Buying a good used set of R1 seats (most common to find) is around $500. If you're not in a huge hurry, PM me for a potential alternative.

Passenger handle is a common breakage item, and again much sought after. If you're talking about the handle built into the door liner, you'll have to get the entire interior liner. Dunno, maybe a couple hundred. The exterior handle/lock break easily too, and that is bought as a mechanism for around $150-200.

Headlight covers aren't too hard to find.

I suggest looking around on the for sale forum and searching the old threads for what these things are selling for. Also, use the parts list to get the parts number and get a price at www.mazdapartscheap.com.

you can get an exterior door handle used for $50-115. JTimports sells them for $115. Sometimes you can find them used here on the forum for less. Both of mine broke at different times and I was able to score one for $40 and another for $50. New they are less than $200 iirc.

Headlight covers are cheap and easy to find.

You might be able to get the seat recovered from a local auto upholstery shop for less than the price of a used seat.

Any car that's been that beat up "cosmetically", is likely to have been poorly maintained mechanically as well.
