im about to buy my first FD, and i read the article about what u should do and look for when buying a used FD. the FD that im about the buy is a 3 hour drive away. what are some precautions i should take before i drive it the 3 hours home! thanks for the help/info

 

fill it up with gas, check the oil, and learn to spell "boy".

These motors ARE NOT that fragile guys.

 

Yep, and check the coolant level too. Overheating (even a mild overheat) is something you'll never want to experience.

FD is like ur gf. if u treat the car badly, the car will take revenge on u for what u've done.

If you're not capable of doing your own research, you might want to think twice about owning such a maintenance-intensive car.

oh my god not 3 hours... not like i didnt have to drive my home for 10 hours or anything.......

 

seriously, i drove 6 for mine. But hey good luck. If it runs good, idles good, has good oil pressure, and doesnt' over heat those are all good signs. Also might want to have a mechanic check it out.

 

bring some water, so if the add coolant buzzer light comes on, you don't have to urinate in it.

 

Just bring a Sk8er Boi, said see you later boy...
