Buy another Act Xt HD Pressure Plate or Resuse?

Iv been running an ACT Street/Strip setup with the Extreme HD Pressure Plate and full face clutch disc. Disc has around 30k miles and is starting to smell on high boost / feel sloppy.

Id like to upgrade to a 6 puck disc which combined with the xt plate should theoretically hold 571ftlbs. My pedal stiffness is still very strong and the splines on the pressure plate look good. There are no blue spots on the surface of the plate.

Typically people upgrade/replace their pp, but this is a very strong pp. Is it worth keeping and swapping disc? Or buy an entire new assembly?

If you're happy with it and want to keep it then clean it up and reuse it. No need to change it out unless it's damaged beyond repair.

I have the same plate and have reused it, no problem.

Excellent, thanks alot. Alot of talk has suggested that once a pressure plate has been used, it will have uneven wear. I agree this happens, but I don't really see how it will make a big diference with a new clutch besides maybe a little chatter.

you can also machine the face of the pressure plate, as you would with a flywheel when you reuse it
