Butterfly Valve Lag

on the throttle body, is there any reason why there is lag before the set of dual butterflies open compared to the single? its very minor lag, but the way the throttle linkage is set up on the side of the TB lets the single butterfly open up just a little bit first. the way this is set up causes the dual butterflies to not be able to open fully at WOT. i'd like to mod my TB to open them all the way, but that would be getting rid of that small lag. would this cause any issues?

are you thinking of the double throttle in the plenum?? if you check the faq there are many helpful hints on how that can be removed.

The lag is there so the car will idle and come of idle correctly .If they open at the same time the idle to tip in will be out of control. This progressive opening is measured by the TPS and the computer is set for it .When I bored my throttle body ,all three barrels ,I made the link longer so the lag is a small bit longer than stock . Leave the fork that controls it alone ,do not close it , or you will get a lean condiction at tip in if you do not know what you are doing .

thank you sir :-) but this question still lingers.. is there anyway to get those double butterflies to completely open without changing the lag? or is it even worth the trouble since they are only slighly closed at WOT?
