bumper support or not? 99spec

installing greddy 2 row tomorrow...with a 99 spec rebar. Will it sag badly without it? I realize the structural concerns during a wreck...hat to cut a very expensive rebar.

how many of you cut the bumper?

With my 3 row there was no sense in keeping it. You could always use that spray on foam stuff to keep the bumper from sagging.

You have a urethane bumper obviously? I ran a 2row before with the stock bumper and had to hack the **** out of it to make it fit. Did you already cut your bumper ?

No havent cut...dont think I will either. I have a black car...and hate that late 80s corvette front sag look. Maybe the 99spec will not have to cut so bad. I guess i am asking those that have removed the rebar to see how much sag.

Also what foam spray are you talking about? Is it used in boats?

Thanks

installed the greddy fmic...would have cut the 99 rebar like crazy...so I mounted it without the rebar....fits great with little snipping that is all.

All I've got to say is good luck! I've got a 3 row and Koyo and there's not much space in there already. I could only imagine how much a pain in the *** it's going to be, with the length of the 20B. How are you mounting it? Are you going to cut the firewall and move the engine back?
Are you going with stock twins or a single setup?
With the 3 row and the stock bumper a lot of hacking was required to get everything to fit just right. Less so required on the 99 spec bumper, not fun either way.

im not cutting the firewall... im using a pettit subframe to keep things simple... so that extra rotor sticks out toward the front unfortunatly, limiting my room. i also have a KOYO, and was planning on a greddy 3 row (i have greddys OLD 3 row which is not as tall but way thick... like 4" thick... but i think ill sell that for the new model 3 row). anyway, yeah i have limited room, but want to use all of those things with the 99 spec bumper. im also worried about safety, so i want to keep **as much of the rebar as possible.** any suggestions, or do you think ill just plain old run out of room??

as far as turbos im sticking w/. the twins for now, and going single later when i get bored.
