Has to be a T4...Unless someone went through the trouble of custom-making a T3 manifold? I doubt it.

If those are the right numbers I dont see 500+ hp in your near future. I suggest doing a little research on single turbo setups and rotary motors in general. Especially if your trying to start your own rotary tuning website. I'll seriously feel bad for the people your going to give advice to after reading this thread.

if you hit 500rwhp ill buy you a few beer via paypal cuz u deserve emm if u can squeeze 500 "rear wheel horsepower" not crank... out of a gt3040r... youll probably set the record for the most horsepower all boost on a 13b with a turbo that small.. and revolutionize turbo sizing for rotary's as we know it................................................ ............................ or u can just listen to the respected members on this board that have the expierence and dont waste your own time and scrap that turbo if your looking for 500rwhp or anywhere near it... futhermore if u dont believe any1 on here lol just take a look at this database of rx7 dyno's and u can see for yourself that any turbo that dyno's close to 500rwhp was atleast 67mm.... http://www.catenet.net/dyno.php good luck anyways

Well, first I would verify that you do indeed have a 3040R. based on the pics, you might have something with a bigger hotside, which is obviously a good thing.

Not trying to bust ***** man, just trying to help out

I think you seriously need to reconsider your setup if that's the wheel horsepower you're shooting for. There's a reason why EVERY single post in this thread states that you will NOT hit the numbers you're looking for. More probable than not you won't even get close. Goodluck. Oh and were you trying to do this on pump or race? Will you be using alternate injection i.e. 50/50, water or methanol?

like i said, its not a .63 a/r its an .82 a/r exhaust side.

Hell, J-Rat made 490hp with a 61mm turbo and that was at 25psi with a really large port. After 25psi it was blowing hot air... you'll never get 500hp.

If you want that kind of power, go with a much, much, much, larger turbo. I'd say a GT42r, or a T51r, or a T72, or T78, etc etc.

All these people here are giving you the same info, and most of us have experience with various size singles on our setups.

I'd like to see these maps...or dyno charts you claim to have.. and there better be proof that they were dyno'd on a rotary engine.

Piston engine 500hp, sure.
Rotary Engine 400hp with a god awful amount of boost, jet fuel, and a T1000 turbine engine, but not 500hp.

You figure the rotary is 20% less at the same boost level than a piston engine. My KAI is rated for 800hp, but I'll only make aroudn 600hp MAYBE, MAYBE 650hp with it on a rotary. Thats shooting race gas and methanol at the same time.

You have high hopes.. you make 500hp on that turbo I'll sell my KAI and pick one of those up.

a .82 T3 turbine housing is still way too small.

i had a .81 T4 turbine housing on my t04b and it still dropped boost (albeit, not badly) by redline.

The 500R has made over 500 rwhp at 20 psi, and with great spool up (3500ish full boost). It seemed like an unbeatable combination, that's why it's bolted to the side of my motor right now

Well, he said he made 420 with it. I wonder at what boost level? If that's on pump gas, that's not too shabby.

Charlie, I have those pics of the blitz fmic installation that I can email you.

Yup, can't wait to see those results replicated or perhaps even beat . Until then, I'll just wait patiently for some of the builds to be completed.

Well seeing that J-Rat made 490hp on an aggressive port with 25psi on a 62mm turbo, it can be done with the 500r granted the ports are large enough...

It'll easily make 500 to the ground. You don't know the specs on the internals, I do
