Bucking at 2-3000rpm???
I don't think this is the "hesitation" issue that I've read so much about. More of a bucking bronco feel and it is occuring at around 2000rpm. Doesn't seem to matter whether the car is warmed up or not, still get the buck. You can throttle through it fine, but if you just lope at the lower 2000 range, it's going to buck at least in 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
No mods, 30,000 miles on Mazda remanufactured engine.

i never really hit rpms that low except for taking off in first. After that the lowest i hit is 3k. For me, rotary engines have never seemed to agree with lower rpms.

Regardless, bucking at 2000 rpm is not a sign of an ECU in limp mode.
