Broken air hose replacement?
Broken air hose replacement?
Hi all,
While doing some other work when I took off one of the air hoses (marked in green in the pic below) the end of it broke on me. I went to a few auto parts stores and they said it was an OEM only unit, I called up my local dealer and the guy quoted me $270 for the hose (I'm not certain we were talking about the same hose, but still, damn..). Is there any reason that I can't just use a standard radiator hose from my local auto parts store? Is there anything 'special' about that particular hose? If I do need that particular hose, where should I get it at? Sorry for my ignorance here still learning and couldn't pull up anything on search.

The only "interesting" think about that hose is that the fittings on either end are slightly different sizes (one is about 1/8 inch smaller than the other. A 1 inch diameter piece of heater hose will work fine. Be aware that the clamps on either end are also slightly different sized (one is slightly smaller, duh! ;-) so you will want to use the right one on the corresponding ends of the hose.
