Broke Something-What is it please? Pix
I was using a stethescope to try and isolate a noise around the pulleys, bust have somehow hit or shorted this thing out. It's broken open, looks like a sensor. Car won't start now, turns over but that's it.
What is the broken piece behind the pulley and how hard is it to replace.
As always, thanks for the help.

FSM says that it's the crank position sensor(s).
The magnet looking end looks to be broken off exposing the wiring.
Can they be replaced without removing the pulley?
Thanks for any input
Sorry the picture doesn't show it more clearly.

there is no wiring inside the crank sensor, and the wiring from the broken sensor still is attached. so where is that wire in the very first picture from? or was that picture taken from a different car?
it's confusing, because there is discrepancies in your pictures.

Good Catch Lake Wales -- the first pic was a "before" just to show the sensors. You were correct in identifying the OMP wires hanging loose. They (OMP) were cut by a broken belt a couple of years ago when that pic was taken. I should have noted that. Thanks for the catch.
Nobody seems to think the sensor can be replaced without removing the pulley, but I was sure I'd seen someone do it in a long ago post.

It is 100% possible to replace the cas without removing the pulley. There is absolutely no need or reason to remove the pulley. They are very easily accessible with a 10mm wrench. You do not need to remove the pulley. I'm speaking from experience.

I'm trying to tell you, you only need a 10mm wrench and you can remove both the sensors. You don't need to remove anything else other than the obvious stuff. It's very easily accessible. Once you break the torque of the nuts, you can spin them off with your fingers and the bracket and sensors will come right out. If you remove the pulley which requires you to remove both your drive belts then you're just making more work for yourself.
Absolute worst case you'd have to remove the pullies from the crank hub. This is an easy operation, 4 10mm bolts and it's off. The 19mm hub bolt is what you don't want to get into, that is ON THERE and takes a wrestling match to remove.
Also, be certain the plugs for the 2 sensors are plugged in properly. White plug goes on the left, gray on the right. If you swap them the car won't run or will be really weird.
