Breaking in my new Cusco LSD

I do not have this unit installed yet but I jsut want to get my facts straight. I want to make sure this thing is broken in properly so it will make minimal noise and last very long. So far all I know is to drive in a figure 8 for 30 minutes. Im assuming the tighter the radius the better but correct me if im wrong. Ive searched and searched and I cant find anything else. Do you need to use any particular fluid while breaking it in? I have some Redline 75w-90 that Im going to put in there but do I need to start out with something else to make sure it seats correctly? Also I did not take the pinion out or mess with it at all. Will I need to do any adjustments while putting the ring back in? It seems to me that if I use the same exact shims and everything that it should be fine. But Im new to all of this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
