I have an extra part after my rebuild. It's like a small piece of sheet metal 4" long with two holes on each end. It's a brass/brown color.

Is this anything to do with the ignition? Ground? If so, anyone know where it goes? Pics?

That is the spacer to the waterpump houseing . It is now in abind and will crack for you . Redo your work and install it . Sorry no camera but trust me you need it .Some one will help you if not call Garfinkle 615-893-4469
