Brakes - Feeling stupid...

So I installed new pads, rotors, and lines a while ago and the brakes developed a weird rattle from the fronts under very light braking.

I recently put the car up for extensive suspension work and decided to check out the brake noise while I was there. I saw that the brakes had 2 shims for every pad and that seemed wrong to me. So I pulled the funny cut ones out, and probably threw them away...

I ran into a brake hardware kit online while looking for something else and noticed it had 2 shims per pad. One is a full shim and the other is cut at an angle. At first I was like, then I was like, now...

The car is still in the air and has yet to be driven since pulling the shims.

So would someone please unstupid me. And if I need to buy a new hardware set, where can I get all new springs as well?

If the springs aren't in the hardware kit (p/n FDZ3–33–29Z) then the only place you can get them is a new set of pads and hardware (FDZ3–33–23Z)

Thanks for the info. Are there supposed to be 2 shims per pad on this car? I've never seen a car use 2 shims at the same time.

Yes. The parts manual shows the arrangement quite clearly.
