Brake Lights Will Not Turn Off

I have a 1993 RX-7.

Just parked my car in the garage and turned the car off and noticed the brake lights will not go off.

What could be causing this?

When mine went it disintigrated into about 1000 pieces

But yeah the bolt and nut trick works real well, and won't pop out or wear out.
