Brake lights don't work!

Hey guys, I just realized this weekend that my brake lights don't work at all. The parking lights will illuminate but won't brighten with the brake depressed. I've checked the fuses, and they all seem okay...any ideas??

I haven't checked the bulbs, which I'll probably do this weekend, but I don't think they're the problem since I find it hard to believe that all four of the brake lights would go out, right? The bulbs themselves DO come on with the parking lights, but don't do anything when the brake is depressed.

I did check the wiring by the brake pedal (not for continuity), but the connections all looked okay.

Well I've got my brake lights working...it actually was the brake fuse that was missing in the driver's side footwell! I looked through the workshop manual for the fuse diagram and noticed that their actually isn't supposed to be two empty fuses but just one!

Looking back, I have NO idea how this happened or even for how long it's been like this! Thank goodness nothing bad has happened due to it!

ha ha...I really don't know. I was in a little accident about 2 months ago, and the impact *might* have jarred it out, but I find that hard to believe.

I *think* was messing with fuses several months ago and might have replaced another fuse with the brake one, thinking that it was a spare or something. I either forgot to replace it or didn't notice anything happening from it and let it go.

sheesh...what a f***in moron.
