Brake Fluid a hydraulic for clutch?
Recently I was driving and noticed the clutch would stick when pressed on. If I was at a light and had it in first gear the clutch pedal would start to press in and not pop back out. A little later the brake light came on and the clutch wouldn't work at all. I noticed the brake fluid was low and added it to the car. I had to pump on the clutch pedal to get it going again. Well now I know I have a brake leak and really haven't driven the car. The clutch pedal now will stick or decompress occasionally when I hold the pedal down. They are obviously related, but when I find and fix the brake leak is there is there another procedure to do to fix the clutch pedal? Does the brake fluid serve as a hydraulic for the clutch? Has anyone else had this problem or have any insight? Thanks.

Thanks Mahjik. I will check both of those. When I find the leak, will I have to bleed the lines to get rid of any air that may have gotten in there? Thanks for your help.

When you find and fix the leak, you should bleed the lines just to make sure there isn't any air in the system.
