brake booster check valve? pls help!!!

i changed the line on my brake booster as well as a bunch of other lines while my car sat for winter. the problem is when i boost, my first turbo only reaches 8-9 psi, and when i do, it sounds like a fog horn(boost pressure sneeking out somewhere). its so bad boosting through to my second turbo doesnt even cross my mind. ive changed hoses, purchased new abv&crv from the classifieds and nothing seems to help! the leak sounds really close to the driversside firewall witch is why i tried the ab&crv but no luck, im thinking maybe boost has snuck into brake booster. is their supossed to be a check valve in the line that i changed and i just missed it, or maybe internal problems?
i know after winter when i put her on the road the brake pedal didnt feel right. maybe i got used to my other vehicle and im just crazy but could that be my problem. help would be much appriciated.
