Here is my favorite, BOV.. I had this, apexi bov, stock secondary bov on my blk fd. I picked up another Tial and will be using two of these for my T76BB 20B set up.

/applaud on actual responses! I have learned to stay away from posting on the 3rd gen section, as many of the people here are bloodthirsty sharks >< so I keep to myself! Goodluck in your search for a better BoV man!

No Problem.
I usually don't mean to be a dick, but when you see the same posts over and over.. I do get bit frustrated.. also, I don't want some other newbs misleading others.. Which seems to be pretty common on this forum..

Just wait few more months.. my new set up for my Blk FD will be very unique.. I just wished I had more time at home..

I'll second what Herblenny stated and if I may be so bold to summarize.
BOV are engineered to:
Vent pressure (the more the better)
Vent pressure quickly (the quicker and more responsive the better)

Simple.
Adding a "horn" or orafice to introduce or modify/amplify the sound in most cases only undermines the two engineering attributes above. You wnat performance or "looks?" And this is why the stock *plastic* (lightweight for quick response)BOVs work so well but are almost silent.

I'm an engineer so when I look at a design this is what I see. Appearances and "sounds" are secondary (but I'll admit still something I consider)

It is thus that these threads are both entertaining and frustrating when we see them over and over again but it only takes some sharing of knowledge and education of those perhaps a little ignorant of the "facts." I must admit I was baffled by the introduction of wastegate noise into the discussion as wastegates and BOVs are mutually exclusive and have no bearing on the operation and sound of one another. Oh well.

As for my own choice and recommendation, I will echo Herblenny and suggest a TiAL BOV. Beautifully made, engineered well (meaing it fulfills the above two requirements very well), looks steller, and sounds...errr... "respectable." And since it matters to you it is probably loud enough to hear quite well yet not be offensive and draw upon you the wrath of flamers.

Regards,
Crispy

PS: and FWIW I urge to spend a little time, use the search, do wade through the piles of crap on the Forum, like the rest of us do when looking for an answer, as you will find your answer eventually. All it takes is a little effort and time and who knows you might be entertained along the way.

thanks, this is the kind of info i was looking for, a lot of the other forums have no constructive information whatsoever lol. IMO the greddy type RS horn didnt look too obstructive which is why i wanted the opinnion and maybe experience of others, and coming from an engineer it means a lot.

thx again,
Brian

Oh I see.. My opinion doesn't matter because I'm not an engineer?? J/K.. I'm glad to hear that Chrispy agrees with me.. And I agree with him
All the informations you need are on this forum.. Also, with little bit of common sense, you could pick out which threads and pointers are crap and which ones are to listen to..

Good luck with your car Brian!

I used the APEXi Twin-Chamber BOV on mine before. Currently I use a Greddy Type-S.

Both are fine in my opinion.
