bouncy hood?

hi all

when i'm driving my hood bounces around and worries me that it's gonna fly up and wrap itself around the winshield

the front is held down ok, but around the center of the hood, at the sides, it moves up and down almost half an inch on every bump

before i go trying to shim up those rubber blocks under the hood i thought i'd ask if this is a common problem on alloy hooded cars and if so what others have done about it

I have the same problem, but it didn't start until I put mine into a tree. Well, mine is more so that at highway speeds, it flutters like it's going to pop up from the wind. When I get a vented hood, I'm just going to pin it down anyway, so I'm not going to worry about it. At somewhere around 130 mph it stayed on, so....

me too but i put in hood pins and they are now locked down tight. i highly suggest you get hoodpins cuz having your hood fly up and you crashing would be really stupid if you could have easily prevented it!

I discovered my JDM 7 has a 'lower' passenger side light tonight (oh the imperfection!)

Eric - you are in the position to buy the best that japan has to offer, at prices that you will never find again. Do it - and solve the problem

I'm personally looking at the ings bonnet or the amemiya (double louvre) bonnet (can't find it in the catalog though...)

daioni

what's a lower passenger side light?

something in the door or the 1 in the ceiling?

eric e

the cleanup on my fd is coming along well, new seats in and a modern front mazda symbol make it look much fresher than a 93

we're booked for an obon of camping at sado again, but will be loading up the van and not the 7

I meant the headlight.

My defi gear finally arrived too - and after giving it a run it looks like my boost pattern is around 12-10-12

I can't believe you swapped the efini badge for a mazda one! The mazda one is so boring! Oh well, each to his own

Mine moves up and down over bumps some too... I've never had any problems even up over 160 mph but I would like it if it would stay down more tightly
