bought my first fd

ok after years of lurking on this forum, finally a few days ago bought my first jdm fd.

I bought it knowing it had problem price was to good to pass up.

the problems that where noticeable:

1.clutch (suppose to be a twin plate clutch, we will find out this weekend) so i have to check for replacement clutch disks or change the setup to a single plate clutch)

2. car smokes has a apexi neo on it (already removed that crap) still smokes color black and some blue Grey. the guy used to trow 2stroke oil in the gas, premix
oh and when it gets boost @4000rpm it really smokes black, i think the injector is stuck open or something

3.water temp gauge show it getting hot, the gauge shoots up to the white line but does not pass the white line, but i notice when a switch the car off and on again the gauge show it at a lower temp ( i think the gauge is bad)

4. the interior need some minor work.

5. another concern is the big street port it has, hopefully it was done right. i think I'll have to rebuilt the engine just to be sure.

so those are the problems that i know off, this wknd we will see if there any other surprises.

the plan for now if to replace the clutch, already bought a spec stage 4 will use this for now until get a idea what twin plate clutch i have and where to get replacement clutch disc.

also bought a AEM pnp, turbonetics waste gate, eBay manifold, devils own water inj kit, water temp gauge, turbo timer, aem boost solenoid some other minor stuff.

anyway for now i want to stick with the twin turbo until i can gather all the single turbo stuff.

but i want to push these little turbo, want at least 340 hp out of them ( is it possible and what is the highest hp from these twin turbo?)

i have a 3inch exhaust from turbo back.
was thinking for now change out the secondaries to drop in 1300?? (are they reliable?)
replace arc intake filter ( where can i get filter?)
replace stock intercooler pipes and put aluminum, keep the stock unit using the water injection kit.
use the aem of course with boost solenoid to increase boost.
use aem data logging with wide band sensor
replace the stock radiator with a 3 core aluminum unit from eBay (they any good?)

any advice or opinions would be appreciated what else should i consider for my goal before going single turbo.

I hope you got a good deal, are mechanically inclined, and have some money to spend for needed repairs.

Congrats

Before spending any money on modifications you need to solve the problems. The overheating problem alone is critical. I would start over with your post and break it up into separate threads and title them accordingly so people know what you're dealing with. Some very knowledgeable people on this forum will skip this entire thread based on the title. You title does not give any indication of what kind of help you are looking for. Get your car running right or you will hate it and spend lots of money. If it were me I would attempt to return the car to stock as much as possible and then go from there. Maybe you have a good RX-7 mechanic that can help sort some of this out.
