Bose - Factory tape deck re-install - Please help.

I already searched and posted this in the Audio section with no luck.

The previous owner of my car put in an aftermarket cd player - however he kept it and gave me the factory tape deck and cd player. My question is...

On the tape deck when looking at the back of it - what do the 2 or 3 wires do that plug into the far left, bottom corner? They have been cut and I would like to know if its worth the trouble of hooking them back up. I am pretty sure they are pink and gray, however there may be a third.

Thank you,
-Charlie

I have a Kenwood MPV619 or something like that right now but I don't like the way it looks in the dash and it doesn't sound good enough for what I paid for it. To get the full potential out of it I think I would have to replace all the speakers and ad some subs and I don't have the budget to do that so I figured I'd take it back, use the factory one and just invest the $300 into the engine.
