Bose on + cig lighter = dead radio?
just like the title says, was rolling into work today listening to the radio, pushed in the lighter, radio dies, and lighter doesnt pop, nor did it get hot, couldnt get my antenna back down, and was on the freeway, I was freakin!
started testing everything else while still driving to work - blinkers/ fans/ caution/ headlights/ parkinglights - everything else seems ok
Lighter does not work though....
My Bose has been getting worse and worse for some time, (possibe water leak on pass door side?) interference sound for months, (specially during rainy season) then a loss of all amplification, followed by this.
and the lighter is a brand new generic replacement that someone gave me at Christmas... worked pretty well for a couple days, yet never really seemed to get that hot.....
Anyone else have lighter/stereo related problems before?
Fuse? short???

I had my lighter go out and it was because the metal prong inside of the lighter was touching the sides. I just took it apart and bent it to where it wasn't touching and I haven't had any other problems.
