for Borla XR-1 midpipe owners...

which one did you take? the sportsman oval muffler or the sportsman round muffler

did you take 3" or 3,5" interior size

did you get 12, 15, or 16" long?

thanks a lot

I don't have one, but I would think the sportsman ovals since you can buy the one with the 3" inlet and outlets and it will only be 12" long.

I just have an old Borla CB with a MP

It fits, but as I mentioned it is welded in at about a 15-20 degree angle so it can fit, but it does not hang down at all, just decreases the side-to-side width.

Borla 16 inch, XR1, race.
had to be welded at a slight angle. (the borla is oval).
significantly quieter than just a midpipe. I love the sound, but damn i hate the gas fumes. makes me want to get a high flow instead. but i think for now, i'm keeping it.

I have the 40944, and just love the way it quiet down the exhaust noise. But did notice a lost of power compare to the straight pipe I was running before.
Another guy I know used the 40575, the 40575 cost a bit more and I think is a little more quietier than 40944.
I'm not sure which one flows better. Do a search and you can find a couple of threads on xr-1
These are part # off of summitracing.com both are 16" oval with 3 in 3 out.
