Borg Warner Miata thermo switch

Installed the Borg Warner version of this from O'Reilley's. Interesting side effect is that the fans come on for 15min (not 10) after shutdown. They never came on at all before. I figured what the heck, till it killed my 3 year old mazda battery.

Weird thing is my fans came on after shutdown with a miata thermoswith (generic) when i had a greddy 2row. Now back in the stock configuration they don't. How are your temps? Still don't clearly know why this happened like it did

Installing a temperature gauge this weekend, so I can get real temps. Car is running fine, I never had a cooling problem to begin with. I'm running a Trust (Greddy) intercooler. Strange coincidence, but I don't see how the IC would affect the coolant temps after shutdown. I'll just replace the battery and see how long it lasts.

I think i've read if the computer read "x" degrees on average for "x" amount of time prior to shut down the car runs the fans afterwards. Its not necessarily a reading right as you turn off the car...
