Boost 'tip in' - adjustable?

My car has a PFC and was apparently tuned to hit max boost with very little throttle input. This give a great feeling of low end torque, but I'd prefer to have a more linear and progressive build of boost in relation to throttle 'angle'.

Do these cars have a throttle position sensor that the PFC talks to? Can I get what I'm looking for here?

I think you're the first person in history to want slower spool!

The TPS has nothing to do with how the turbos build boost. Also just because the turbos are boosting 10 psi doesn't mean you are accelerating hard...there should still be plenty of throttle response. If you want linear throttle response all around, I suggest installing an N/A V8, because turbo cars (in general) don't have it.

I just seem to remember than when the car was stock and I gave it quarter throttle that it didn't hit full boost. Now it does. It makes driving in traffic a little jerky, and I'd rather not have my turbos max out (and wear out prematurely) every time I touch the gas. Are you saying that it's not adjustable/ something that the PFC can map?

I assume you have done exhaust modifications...that's the whole point! To reduce spool time and increase flow.

I would say there is something wrong with your boost control if you are hitting 10+ psi at 1/4 throttle just driving around town.

This sounds like a question for the PFC section of the forums.

I can promise you that the system is monitoring throttle position and boost pressure, and can adjust the wastegate's duty cycle (which controls boost). I'm not sure if the PFC's software will let you adjust boost vs. TPS or not.
