Mods on the car (type R) are - lowered and very hard ride with Tein shocks, AVS alloys, splitter.
Engine wise - big Mother-F cone air intake and heat shield, HKS BOV, mid pipe, veilside back box, IC hard pipes, EVC, T Timer, short shifter. Engine has done 6k miles.

I had an Apexi FC and controller (the common choice over here) on my last rex and found myself watching it more than the road, too much info and things to play with kinda thing.
So dont really want one again lol.
As long as I dont go over 12psi I think the stock ECU is adequate but I know most ppl dissagree. Time will tell I guess, unless I want even more power then I spose I'll get the Apexi. I'm trying to find an air/fuel gauge at the mo, that runs off the lambda sensor as a rough guide to fueling.

I see in your profile it says you have an R2, same as my last one. Should have strut braces already I thought? Should have twin oil coolers and storage boxes where the back seats normally are too.

Yeah have the storage boxes and the twin oil coolers, no strut braces though. Wasn't aware that it was supposed to come with any as standard; maybe it was one of the options available? I know the Japanese models had lots of different packages to cater for the market over there. It'll have some in the next few days though.

Need to sort the shocks and springs too, the ride on the R2 is softer than I'd like. Have been looking into coilovers (TEIN adjustables) to sort that, but it'll probably have to wait for now. Are yours coilovers?

Had a similar worry about the EBC being too complex, just wanted something that would work and not display 3000 different things to me. I think simplicity is important as there's only so much info you can take in, especially while driving.

I'm quite liking the sound of the Microtech Engine Management systems that RX Motors are a dealer for, it looks/sounds about right for me, does the job without too much hassle.
