Does anyone know where the other end of this hose is for? can't find where it popped off of or does it need to be plugged. Sucks in air when engine is running. One end is connected to the Boost sensor
It was likely for a boost gauge or boost controller or something aftermarket that needed boost reference. If you don't have have any aftermarket electronics that reference boost then that line can be eliminated however you see fit
Get the vacuum diagram. The boost sensor needs a direct hose to the upper intake manifold. That plastic tee is a disaster waiting to happen, the boost sensor is the #1 primary input to the ECU, if you have a bad signal or that tee breaks you'll have a bad day.
Run a line straight to the appropriate nipple on the back of the UIM and find out what that other line that is teed in is for - as CR-Rex stated most likely a boost gauge or boost controller. There's an unused nipple on the left side of the UIM that most use for a boost gauge.
