Boost sensor check valve.. air both ways?

Ok, the hose going from the UIM to the boost sensor has a check valve. The arrow is pointing toward the UIM. Is this right? Shouldn't the chceck valve arrow be pointing the boost sensor? Also, I removed it and blew through the nipples on both sides of the valve. Is it right to have air being allowed to be blown through both sides? I can blow air through both sides. Isn't this supposed to be a one way check valve?

1. Which way is the check valve supposed to point? UIM or boost sensor?
2. Is this a one way check valve? I can blow right through the valve through both ends.

Thanks in advance.

That's not a check valve, it's a gas filter designed to protect the boost sensor. Therefore, you should detect flow in both directions. The arrow should point toward the UIM, according to the FSM.

A check valve, by definition, is a one way device. A boost sensor would not function properly with a check valve in the line.
