boost related question...i think
Well let me give u the short story........Car pulls great in lower rpms......once i get around 6k-ish i would say (tach doesnt work)....the car just doesnt wanna keep pulling.....it pulls good if i shift fairly early but i shifted today and yesterday into 5th around 80 MPH just to see what would happen...and once it hit 85 it's just like there was no more power goin anywhere.....i mean it was CREEPING upward. My friends honda crx DX pulls harder there than i did...seriously. We were messin around the other night and from 1-3rd i wooped his *** bad but once i hit 4th i didnt pull anymore..and i went into fifth about 5 seconds later and he started catching me. I was wondering if this could be or is boost related. Im ordering a boost guage as we speak but i dont have it yet and i really wanna know what this could be. Any input is appreciated. Oh yea....just asking...what's the FD's powerband? When should a regular running car stop pulling (RPM's). Thanks again

It could be boost related, or it could be clutch related. Do you hear the engine revving when you step on the gas, but the car just doesn't take off?
If so, then it's probably your clutch. Currently, my clutch is going out. It slips bad in 4th and 5th gears..
However, you really won't know until you can get your boost gauge hooked up. Then you'll know if you are getting any boost or not.

You may have a vacuum hose that popped off. Remove the black pressure chamber in front of the intake manifold, and take a peek. Maybe you will find your problem. It's easy to check, and a common spot for "pop offs"
