BOOST PROBLEMS after ProfecB and hoses!

I just replaced all the vacuum lines and installed the Profec B. My boost is bad. I get about 2 or 3 # in 1st, about 5# in 2nd and 6# in 3rd and so on.

Before I did the hoses and profec I had decent boost pattern, but not great. Any suggestions on what to check? I replaced all the lines one by one... I am wondering if my turbo control valve is somehow having issues? or maybe a solenoid?
Is there a way to bypass the solenoids and use the Boost controller only?

PLEASE HELP!!

My mods are:

1993 RX7 R1
Thermal Dynamic Exhaust
Rick Stiles ECU
Profec B Boost Controller
3 inch SS Midpipe
HKS Intake
HKS Downpipe
Greddy Pulleys
HKS Turbo Timer

Been there bro.
Ok, Ive endured the heart ache that should help you find the problem easily.
It really sounds like just a boost leak.

As for what to check when you installed the Profec B....
#1. Make sure the hose going to the back of the Profec B is connected securely!
#2. When you cap the wastegate actuator, make sure its not leaking!
#3. The obvious thing is to make sure the hose from the turbo to the box isnt leaking and secure.
#4. Next obvious, check line from Profec Solenoid Box to the wastegate actuator make sure its not leaking air.
#5. Double check the 'T' that you made from the boost line to the Profec B control box
If you done all the above, then reply and we can keep going

If you did all the hoses (including Rats Nest) Then it could be alot of things. Need more info. on the boost problem. So Primary is only 2-3psi? theres alot to check there

Please reply if you fix it, to help others.

I did not "T" the boost line, I used the other nipple. Is that a problem?

I will check the rest tonight.

Thanks,

Matt

Whats the 'other nipple'?
As in you are getting the vacuum source from somewhere other than the line used for the boost gauge?
Please by more detailed on the replys.
good luck.

I am using the other nipple on the upper intake manifold. I was told that is okay to do instead of using a "t"?

Is that wrong?

When will you people learn to not make too many mods on you car at the same time. This applies to mods that affect engine system controls. When you hose something, then there are too many variables to sort out. This forces you to have to check everthing out.

Changing a complete exhaust from DP to tailpipe does not affect engine system controls.

Same applies to engine tuning.

I noticed by your mods you don't have an upgraded intercooler so I assume you still have the crappy stock pipes? These could very easily cause a boost leak. Check for cracks.
