Boost problem with new turbo's/engine

Well i just put on a boost gauge today and fogured my boost would be right figuring i only have 3000 on new turbos and 1500 on new engine,i figured my mechanic would have checked evrything, but i'm pulling 20 vacumm and 5 to 6 on primary then 4-5 transition then 5-6 on secondary. I had to rig up the boost gauge hose, cause the hose wasn't long enough as long as i'm pulling that much vacuum,i shouldn't have a leak in the gauge.Has anybody have this pattern?

It's hard to troubleshoot over the internet, but the first thing you should check is your intercooler hoses and couplers for leaks. REMOVE them and THOROUGHLY inspect them and the clamps. Did your mechanic do a silicone vacuum hose job? Did he check all the solenoids and check valves? This should be done with (actually before) a turbo/engine rebuild. Check out the turbo troubleshooting site. The address is on the link page at www.rx7.org
