what is the advantage of doing non-Sequential to the stock turbo?
Hi,
I am wondering that what is the advantage of doing non-Sequential to the stock turbo? Please give me some information. It seems pretty cool for FD.

Let me first say that I have a stock sequential system. It seems the advantages of going non-sequential is that the control system is greatly simplified (no more vacuum problems). Plus you can put in a larger turbocharger which can easily handle more HP. There are people who have tried to operate larger turbos sequentially but I understand that this is not very driveable. The biggest drawback of non-seq. is that it will reduce the low-end response of the car (turbo lag) just because the turbo are larger (do not repsond as fast). If you spend most of the time >4500rpm this is not an issue.
My personal opinion is that the best mod. would be to stay with the stock system but increase the boost level. I believe the stock turbos can support boost in excess of 15psi perhaps even 20psi. This is not easy however since it involves tinkering with the complex vacuum system. I think people like the non-seq. because it simplifies things.
Just my $0.02...

The stock turbos will no way in hell support 20psi without blowing seals.
Anyhow, for the facts no BS..
1. No vacume line bullshit
2. No selanoid bullshit
3. You will NOT get anymore power, just a different power curve.
Anyone telling you different doesn't have a clue.
4.You will, obviously have lag till about 3800, but you will not have a transition spike anymore.
5. You will have to have a full open exhaust to take advantage of the non-sequential system.
6. It will NOT hurt your 1/4 mile times. For example look at mine
