i just bought my fd with 54000 mi and paid 12000 and i just put my boost guage in to see if my turbos are giving the 10-8-10 boost pattern, but i am getting 11.5 lb and i have no mods but a cat back that was on the car when i bought it how bad is this and how can i fix it.

 

It's bad and you better fix it by installing a boost controller.

 

Its not THAT bad, granted not an ideal situation but most people will see spikes of 11 or so when they mod the exhaust. Are you getting spikes of 11.5 or is it a consistent, constant pressure of 11.5? You can, just to be safe, install a manual boost valve instead of spending much more on a boost controller. Just do a search on manual boost needle valves, or something like that, good luck and congrats on purchasing a great car.

 

11.5 isnt always consistent it will hit 10 lb some times
