Boost performance concerns

OKay so I raced this SRT 4 tonight- no big deal. We both lined up and went. To my suprise I was dragging way behind! I have just light mods(e/i/boost controller/turbo timer/ ECU-stock psi) and he has intake wastegates and exhaust. No I've raced a close to stock SRT before and just destroyed it. But my turbo's didn't seem like they were kicking in right.

when they were supposed to kick in they just didn't feel as strong as they have before. I changed it to highboost(13 PSI) and it started making a light humming noise when it was supposed to kick in. After that I changed to low boost and the boost felt like it was supposed to. Anyone have any ideas/ suggestions? I'm really frustrated because I hate SRT-4's with a passion. Thanks in advance.
