Before I got my Profec B boost controller, my boost was 11-8-10 then dropping to 7 at 6000 rpm and holding til redline. Now that I have my Profec, it usually holds 9 psi until redline. It's noticeable that it pulls harder to 8k.

Note that these boost levels are with stock intake, downpipe, stock cat, and RB dual-tip.

boost was pretty unstable for me, I would get 10 untill about 6k then it would go to zero.

i get 10-10-10 for 1, 2, 3 gears. For 4th and 5th, i get a pattern of more like 10-10-11.

It REALLY depends on the weather for me regarding my boost. Cooler temps gets different pressure etc.

So I am soppose to have 10 psi till redline? Man that sucks. Where should i start looking for this problem then. I guess my problem is with secondary turbo then. It just won't hold boost till redline.

Can someone give me everything i should check that is related to second turbo. And how to check it? I do get 10 psi on primary so i know there isn't any common leaks like couplers or 1inch hoses. I also did vaccum hoses thing so i don't think it's that either. It's probably one of the check valves or sollenoid. But which one?

Thanks

There is nothing that says you are supposed to have 10 psi until redline. The stock ecu just blindly actuates the wastegate, which is why I was only getting 7 psi after 6k rpm. I would think you would have an easier time keeping near 10 psi til redline with an aftermarket intake but there are no guarantees. You may have a small leak somewhere but I doubt there's a problem with any of your solenoids or rat's nest hoses if you are getting a solid pattern every time.

At the worst, perhaps your main cat is slightly clogged. But then again, there might not be anything wrong with your car at all.

As far as boost pattern in other gears goes, I get the same pattern in every gear except 1st where the primary spools up slower due to gearing. The only way I can verify the 1st gear boost pattern is by recording it with my Defi gauges and playing it back. Otherwise, it goes by too quickly (actually, so does 2nd....).

Well i do think that i might have small boost leak, but i'm still not sure. I never saw 10 or 9 psi till redline it's always either 8 or 7.5 something like that.

Even if i switch it to 12 psi i get like 12-8-8 or something similiar. So i'm sure something is wrong i just don't know where to start.

Thanks for reply

I thought about going no seq but then i haven't driven one that has been done that way, so i don't know how it feels. I like the way my car runs now. primary spools really fast and strong.

Again, if i have something to compare to, maybe i would do it, but then again, who knows.
