Boost hesitation from 4000 to 5500 rpm-help-

My first turbo works fine but at about 4000-4200 rpms it lags the power of the second turbo till about 5500-5700 rpms, but then the second turbo ends up kickin in and working. If anyone know's what might be causing the boost drop or hesitation please help.

Trying to get the rotary ready for the summer...I've got a lot of people to race in the summer and also a field trip of about 25-30 cars going to the track so we can all get our 1/4 times...hopefully I'll be the quickest ...

u might be experiencing the transition period between the 2 turbos. 10-8-10 ish pattern? If you really want consistent boost with out the "hesitation" go parallel or single.

Sounds like precontrol may not be working correctly. The precontrol valve stays fully closed up to about 3000 rpm and start to open. When it openes it sends exhaust to the 2nd turbo. That builds some boost in the 2nd turbo so when it comes on line its up and running. Sounds like that may not be working well on your car.

hmm...you might be experiencing a fuel cut. Does the car feel like it hits a wall when you go over 4000RPM?
- Tie wrap might do the trick to fix your problem.
- Cats might be clogged
- When was the last time you change your spark plugs, wires, and fuel filter?
