Boost Gauge reading at idle + info

Okay so I might get some heat for this question but I think its a valid question just for general information.
My question is at the bottom of this so if you want to scroll down thats cool

Many people buy boost gauges. It is a neccesity when you own a rotary. I think many people don't quite know how to read them very well or know much about boost.

I have a Greddy boost gauge. The pills are not in the turbo's because I don't have an aftermarket ecu/fuel management system installed yet. So to ensure I do not run dangerous amounts of boost and protect the car - no pils. Even when i push the car it does not spike above 0.5 bar

Information I aquired from an audi site. But still applicable.

------------------------------------------------------

General information / conversion

1 Bar equals 14.5 psi.
which equals 750 torr,
which equals 750mm Hg, (millimeters of mercury in a Torricelli Barometer
which equals 29.5275 inches of mercury,
which equals 100,000 Pascals, or 100 kPa, named after the French scientist Blaise Pascal.

As mentioned, A pressure equivalent to that exerted by exactly 760mm of mercury at exactly 0 degrees Celsius, under standard gravity is defined to be 1 atmosphere.

1 atmosphere equals 14.70 psi (pounds per square inch),
which equals 1.013 Bar,
which equals 760 mm of Hg,
which equals 29.9212 in Hg,
which equals 406.8 inches of water.

As you start to do more modifications that raise the boost level on your engine, you may want to install an aftermarket boost gauge that will do a better job of showing the rapid changes in boost, and one that will provide a better reference to changes in boost levels.

The Question :

My boost gauge needle always sat at 500 mmHg at idle. Lately, (It may be nothing) but the needle sits anywhere between 500 to 600 or fluctuates between these numbers, When you turn on the lights it seems to drop to 500. I'm running about 9 pounds of boost at present time I believe with a stock ecu and mods in my signature.

I was wondering if this increase was a problem breeding. Performance seems consistant so far. I have the stock twins.

Actually, I was wondering if someone would be willing to explain what may cause this fluctuation on rx7's

I skimmed http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/boost_problems.html
too but it didn't really answer my question.

Thanks
