Also, the 40-second record, peak/hold, and adjustable warning light functions may seem like gimmicks to some, but they are worth the expense, at least to me. Tuning my boost controller was SO much easier with those functions and it makes it easier to troubleshoot turbo control problems as well.
I don't disagree. My point was you don't have to spend that just to read correct boost pressure.

True, but I do also like the fact that the Defi's have stepping motors.

Zach, I've been through all this already. Here's my thread from the interior/exterior section:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=224721

I ordered from a local reputable supplier in late June and they've been getting crap from the US distributor ever since. This goes for all the other Defi dealers I've called, since they all go through the same dist., called SPI (Sharp Precision Instruments).

Lucky for me, this local shop, Dynamic Autosports aren't going to charge me until the damn things arrive.

I bought a Defi link setup (Boost, EGT, Water temp, controller) fom www.boost-solutions.com recently. It took about a month to get the stuff, including shipping to sweden. Those were however not the BF-series, and all had metric units.

Zach-

Now you know why I got the Greddy man. The D-series is backordered with no set expected shipment date. Also, since the Greddy is electronic like the Defi, and the sensor is closer and can be mounted in the engine, I like it better then autometer, etc, etc. I don't like vacuum lines running through the firewall.

I think the DEFI D-gauges would be the best looking and seem to have a reputation for being good gauges. Problem is they're expensive and they seem to be out of stock everywhere.

The Links are nice gauges! I saw a set at a shop. I just wish they had red/amber backlighting.

I didn't mean to say no one had these. Some resellers could still have them in stock. But if they're backordered, like the ones I've tried, you're SOL.

i heard they light up very close to stock color(amber).

and anyone know if there is a place to get defi D gauges that are METRIC? i prefer to see water temps in Celsius than Fahrenheit, and i assume Jspec defi D gauges have Metric.

I'm pretty sure D Series is close to stock. And Link has a greenish lighting.

I've been waiting on my D-Series Boost Gauge for 4 months and counting so join the party!

The D-gauges light up amber with red needles. The Link gauges are green with red needles. The D-gauges were designed for the American market and are only available in English units.

And yes, the Defi's rock... They are worth the wait for the Link series..

Yep that did ship

We dont go thru SPI anymore for the D-gauges. I have found a place that can get them a little quicker. I just got a shipment but they were all presold. I have oil pressure and A/F left.

Jason, How long until more D temp gauges are available, I'd like another one for oil temp. Thanks for getting me the first one so fast.

Also what is the best guess on boost gauge availability in the D series?
