Boost gauge mounting
I'm jut thinking out loud here but has anyone tride mounting a boost gauge on the drivers side door panel where the vent is? The reason I'm thinking this is a idal location for three reasons:
1. I'm taller so with my seating position it is a quick glance and easy to see.
2. I love the stock instrument cluster so I would like to leave that alone. Meaning I don't want the gauge pd sitting in front of it.
3. I want to run a 60mm gauge which will block the speedo even more.
Any and all input is welcome. Thanks.

I think most like to keep the boost guage more in front of them, in the line of sight of the tach when checking boost levels. But to each his own. If you don't like the column pod, there is also an 'A' pillar pod or the center speaker set-ups (for two or three gauges), but I think finding those in 60mm is tough. http://prosportgauges.com/MazdaRX7gaugepod.aspx
One thought about a putting a guage in the door is the shock it will get each time you shut the door.

I looked into the speaker mont and like you said I haven't been able to find it in 60mm. I have also been thinking about how to Handel the shock. I'm thinking that the electronic gauges will be to handle the opening and closeong of the dor becaus the are motor driven and don't that the sensitive brass insides. It will also make installing simpler.
