Hey all my current mods on my FD are Apexi intake, and I just got my petitt downpipe but im wondering if it would be wise to install a boost gauge first so I know if Im getting horrible boost spikes or not?

Tell me this....how will you know you are getting boost spikes without a boost gauge?

Get your gauge, and get it now....

I think what he is thinking is that some people have reported boost spikes when they installed a dp and he is affriad that will happen to him in this case. I believe this is why he is posting, not because he thinks he has boost creep.

Just as Flybye said though a boost guage is an excellent mod to do for one of the first couple mods. If nothing else it is fun to look at when you go down the road, and others are really impressed when they see one.

i get spikes to .8 bar with a downpipe...i already ordered my n1 cat back exhaust from SP engineering...but now i'm thinking about instead getting a boost controller. I'm kind of hesitant to run a downpipe with a cat back...would you if you were me?

My boost gauge was my 2nd mod
My buddies chipped in and bought me a GReddy for my birthday

My apexi intake was my first mod... and I want as much life outta the engine I can get since im about to hit 71k miles. It runs beautifully, and ive had no problems yet. yeah I was just worrying that I would get boost spikes AFTER the install.. im fine right now. Guess a boost gauge it is
