What's the difference between an electrical boost gauge and a mechanical boost gauge? Which do you prefer?

I have the Pettit one. That's an Autometer in it. And looky, its at 0.

I used about a foot of the hard nylon tubing and then stuffed it into some leftover Hose Technique silicone hose, clamped it a little to make in tight and ran the silicone hose to the manifold, that worked great for me.
