boost and exhaust problems

just recently i took off the extension manifold and checked all my vacuum hoses, check valves, etc becuase i was losing boost at 4500 rpm. nothing appeared to be out of place so i secured everything and put the manifold back on. now when i go to accelerate my car starts sputtering and does kind of a lugging thing when the primary turbocharger should start to kick in (about 3200 rpm). does anyone know what could be causing this? did i maybe not put something back on right (if so what would it be)? also i just put on a new hks hiper exhaust from the midpipe back and the car is running very rough and i am getting alot of white smoke exiting the exhaust. any ideas?

Well, a few things came to me. First, are you non-seq? If not, primary turbo should make full boost wayy before 3200 rpm, like 2600 maybe?

About the rough driving etc, maybe you pinched a hose putting the UIM back on?? I remember someone doing this a while back, and having similar driving issues. If everything is hooked back up, and nothing's pinched, I don't know enough to diagnose any further.
