boost

i have a jdm 92 rx7 and it has boosting problems
there is only about 5 psi on the primary and the secondary isnt spooling and i cant figure out why its doing it. any ideas?

before you get tore a new whole by other members, so a search. the secondary turbo wont spool unless there is a min of 8 lbs on the primary. most likely a boost leak.

ok thanks i appreciate you not tearing me a new one haha
i did a little bit of a search the last couple days and found a few different problems like som of the solenoids but i was still al little unsure what should i check first?

CHeck the couplers for leaks, they commonly will tear a bit and leak boost under 4-5psi of pressure. Especially the 1" hoses, those suckers are a pain in the ***!

If your certain you have no boost leaks, I usually check to make sure the vacuum and pressure chambers are working (after running the car, pull a hose off each and see if you get the 'whoosh' from air entering or escaping the chamber).

If that all checks out, I check the actuators to make sure they are functioning...

Usually I get it figured out by that point lol.

let me know what u find, if u need parts, like solenoids/actuators pm me, ihave all the stuff out of my jdm 1992, went to non seq setup, lots of spare stuff on the shelf lol. i'm in prince george, can send parts if needed.
