with a stock rx-7 is it possible to safely run 18 pounds of boost

hell no. 10psi max.
with that much boost you need looots of mods.
aftermarked ecu, all fuelmods, better ic, probably rad,
and i think that the stock apex seals dont like much more boost than 15

i run 15.4psi on my setup....stock ecu...split-sec....2 aux. 720s, FCD, supra fuel pump.....
works amazingly well....

Why do all the work to run that boost and not bother to get a tuneable ecu? You'll need one sooner or later.

are you saying you have 2 aux 720cc injectors? How are you controlling those as the stock ECU can't
